I had written a post about an afternoon Watcher, Ticket, Henry and I had spent, went to upload the much needed video to go along with it and youtube kept freezing up on me. Shoot! Ah well, I will try again tomorrow on Vimeo or some other site.
So for now, here are some random photos I have taken over time.
Al in a sunbeam hunting frogs
Ticket in what some may call a pond, but which is actually a big puddle of fluid manure. ( The rain run off from the compost pile at Saints ) Ewwww Ticket!!! Get outta' there!!
It's when Henry senses/feels/smells me getting close to him. His face turning from quizzical to omg, my person is here. I love my person!! His ears going down a bit, his blind eyes widening, his body all ready for the love that is about to be lorded over him, and all enveloped with the hugest smile EVER.
And my heart smiles as his heart smiles. I love my Henry.
The photo below is not the look I have described above, it's an updated photo from last week so you could see how handsome he's getting!
Lahanie and Gideon say Merry Christmas and Good Morning!! Some ornaments I hung on the trees outside the barn. I made the bead thingys covering them last week. ( learning to make them was a process I'll tell ya! Some wicked potty mouthed swearing happened. :)) But after I made the first one the next ones took about 1/2 hour of no stress. I have always enjoyed beading and I think I'm going to get back into it. It's calming for me. Probably because it takes concentration which takes me away from the normal bunged up shit I think of. :))
Wow. This is the pond on the lower pasture/field first thing this Christmas morning. I was hoping for snow but the frost is quite lovely.
Ellie Mae spreading some Christmas cheer!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas filled with warmth and peace.
This damn video makes me weepy. And I've watched it 3 times. The National did an interview with Carol, and the crippled crew, just under a year ago and I thought you'd all like to see it.
In the 4 months I've been back here, there have been 7 animals that passed. 7 souls who were essentially dumped and trashed because they became too much of a problem. For any reason...like they became incontinent. But what most people don't know is that most times incontinence can be averted with proper medication. And inexpensively too!
I had a couple of videos of my dogs and some photos and tried in vain to upload them...but this damn wireless in the hills of Mission kept knocking itself out. I shall try again tomorrow. * big sigh *
And a photo I took a few years back of Tang. He's one brother of a 3 brother crew...Tang, Mango and Sunny. All healthy, all relatively young, but no one wants to adopt them. HUH???
