Firstly, I'm a Canadian. And very proud to be one.
As a human being on this earth, I understand how powerful the President of the U.S. is. How much he touches the entire planet.
I also understand the devastation President Bush, and his gang, have splattered all over the world.
If you're an American, I hope you have registered to vote. If not, do it now. Go to BarackObama.com and find out where to register and get your ass down there first thing in the morning!
Here's 4 videos that contain the TV ad that aired prime time, Oct 29th.
And, I'll admit, that I teared up a few times. He's a real honest to god man...not an ounce of ego.
I wish he was running for Prime Minister of Canada. He'd win by a landslide. I pray he wins by a landslide in the United States.

Will work for milk.
I live on a farm and times are pretty hard, as the area I live in is considered economically depressed. It's so bad that I've heard of some of our neighbors were having a hard time making ends meet.
This morning I woke up to a knock at my door. When I answered the door, this is the pitiful sight I witnessed. It broke my heart!!

Heartbreaking!!
Just heartbreaking....!!

Thanks for sending me this Jo! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Chain Saw Carving Capital of the World Hope BC
My little itty bitty town of Hope B.C. is famous for being home to the Chain Saw Carving Capital of the World!
Yah, you heard me! The world!!
A fella by the name of Pete Ryan (who lives about a mile away) began it all.
Here's his website...go read about him, take a gander at his stuff and come back to see some of the photos of his carvings I took today! Plus, there are probably 20 or so more spread throughout the district. Another day for those.
And hey, you don't have to be *into* wood carvings to appreciate the artistic ability! You'll be able to tell his earlier years from the latest masterpieces. I envy his talent.
And oh, here's a warning: There are 40ish photos coming up, and you are probably going to want to click on a few to bring up a closer view.... so go make a cuppa tea/coffee and sit back.

This bugger is 16' tall! Yowzers!

See this dude!! He's got a serious agenda!

Somebody needs to whisper to him that he has a nasty case of dandruff.

And I dare you...in fact, I double dog dare you to tell him about his scary case of crotch rot! ( you see the size of the fucking axe? )

Ohhhhh.....and Hope B.C. is also famous for where the film Rambo ( Rambo 1 for all you Rambo tweakers ) was filmed. In ninteenfuckingeighytwo! Ummmm, can we get past it? Not bloody likely. Did you know that there are Rambo fans all over the world?? STILL?? Mostly from Asia and Europe. HA! They freaking flock to Hope! And right in front of my house is where "Rambo" whizzed by on his cycle and wiped out against our Cottonwood tree. ( what a dick ) We have snap happy tourists come by a few times a month on Rambo tours! Wild or what?
Anyway, if you ever want to look exactly like Rambo, come on down/up to Hope and get your photo taken!

This is the Fort Hope Monument....

Looking west....

My last stop today was the Japanese Friendship Garden. I spent 20 minutes in peace. It was wonderful.

Shades of Fall
I absolutely adore this season! My gawd....the colors are just intriguing to me. I think Fall is the season when the sky, the mountains, the trees and the expanse of land below really come together as one.
It was downright nippy today during our walk! I need to buy some gloves that are toasty warm but also allow me to work my camera. ( Anyone know of a brand? ) Definitely have to dig out my winter gear.

That's gooood dogs! Come back after the 2nd time I yelled....argh!

Maple Leaf....sooo many shades!

Looking west

And just 'cause it's so stately, and pretty...

Still pool

A creek runs through it!

Awww, such nice shades!

On the way home, taking a detour through Laidlaw, this came into my sight.

And this

And this

Then we made one more quick pee break before heading home. It's at another rest stop with a big grassy knoll for the dogs to run in.
Whatcha' find???

Homeless person's living room? Much too chilly to sleep here now.

Camera is being operated by a person with frozen fingers

Follow the leader...

Yes, just keep following him!

Hold up Ticket! You've fallen out of formation!

Yah, but I left to get the stick you dumb boys left behind...mwahahahaha!

K, now run after me!!

Watcher please chase me???

No!

PLEASE??

Jeeeezuz girl...are 'ya deaf, I said NO!

Hunter Creek strolling...pay NO attention to the silly voice behind the lens..
Up at a knoll at the last pee break. While the traffic sounds close, this area is a good 1/2 mile away. The emptiness brings the sound closer.
