I have done a lot of planting lately! My hands are as rough as sandpaper in the evenings but I have some super great Hemp lotion! Oh gosh they feel so loverly afterwards!

I have about 30 other herbs, and here are some new to me ones. Winter Savory, French Tarragon, Lemon Basil and Curry Leaves. With a dozen or so tomato plants behind in the greenhouse.

Awww, this was sad. We had incredible winds the other night,so strong it knocked this nest out of the tree. The egg inside was crushed on the ground laying beside it.
I love gardening. I never wear gloves...I don't mind dirt under my fingernails! I hope to be more on the ball this year as far as collecting the seeds from some of these flowers. I went beyond what I wanted to spend...but damn it sure is a beautiful sight for the eyes. Can't wait for all the trailing flowers in the pots to grow!!
I am on the perhipheal of rescue. I deliver crates, foster, whatever I can do.
I advertised on a freecycle board a bit ago if anyone had a crate to donate....Bill popped up and said I do! We struck up a conversation. Bill is someone who when he goes to garage sales, and sees an animals crate for sale, buys it. He emails me...I pick it up and pass them along to whatever rescue who needs them.
I heart Bill!!!

I had planned to go visit a dear friend of 30 years today. Wayne lives on Vancouver Island in a community called Sproat Lake. Couple days there and then off to visit a soul sista', Jo, in Courtenay, also on the island.
I was soooo looking forward to seeing and visiting with them both. That was canceled due to lack of funds.
I went to get my fuel filter changed...and ka ching!, ka ching!..ka fucking ching! BUT, my vehicle is in perfect running order. BUT I got a free car wash after all the fucking ka chinging. I have a full tank of gas, Van is great, BUT I HAVE NO WHERE TO GO!!! Piss me off. Seriously piss me off!!
Oh, and after all that bullshit, my freaking engine warning light is still on.
Visiting Wayne would be filled with laughs. And warmth. I'm bummed. Visiting Jo...that was going to be extra special because I was going to visit with Jo. And if you knew Jo, like I know Jo...well, I could cry. I was also really looking forward to meeting Ticket's breeder Carol of Sancardou GSD's. And meeting Ticket's Mom. And her bro Travis. And seeing Jen again...who is Travis' human *Mum*.
Just a bummer man. Oh well, I'm going to definitely do it in 2 weeks. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Obviously my Van wouldn't have made it. Or maybe it would, but limped home. Or maybe it wouldn't have limped home. Maybe died a week after I got home...up on the logging roads somewhere...with bears around...and cougars..oh my!
Just a real suck ass few days. This too shall pass. Right?

sidenote: I did not buy Ticket. Her breeder, Carol, ( a well respected woman ) is experiencing life problems as age takes over. She needed to place her in a home where she would be cherished and adored. And she is. And I love Carol for that. Ticket was her pick of the litter...and she's absolutely lovely. Beautiful conformation. Carol knew when it was time to end. Most breeders do not. K, I think I will run these dogs somewhere. They saw all the loading of crates, blankies,etc etc etc...then got into the Van and traveled. TO LUBE WORLD AGAIN. They are disappointed too! Fuck man, we only got 1/2hour away!!!
