Dogs and Flowers

2 of my favorite things!

I need some help, the following 3 flowers/trees are nameless to me. Anyone know? They are growing at a rest stop that has an excellent river walk alongside it I try to get to at least once a week. Funny, I never noticed this tree and this flower before!

And here's the tree/s this absolutely lovely smelling flower grows on...

Aren't these flowers beautiful!! By the side of the road...

My backyard flowers- Delphinium

Chive flower

Sage flower

Dahlia. It's a pity the flowers only stay for a week or so, it's a very eye catching flower.

Fargo caught laying on the couch....teaching my dogs bad lessons. But she is very comfy!

Fargo's Big Adventure

And my ugh day in the concrete jungle of Vancouver.

A couple of weeks ago I drove to Horseshoe Bay , a couple hours away, to pick up my sister Jamie and her sweet pea Fargo. Fargo will be staying with me and my 3 amigos for a couple weeks! She's a wonderful house guest, and we are all enamored with her. She's a sweet sweet girl, how could we not!

Ticket came with me to pick up Jamie and Fargo. All 3 get one on one time with me, and it was her turn. She raced to the van, leapt in...and wondered where the fuck her big brothers were! 10 minutes into the trip she laid on the seat and crashed till we got there. It was much too boring without the exuberance of the 2 hooligans.

After scooping up Jamie and "sweet pea" we headed to Kelly and Sumeet's home, chatted for a bit and headed for a quick stroll through Queen Elizabeth Park Stunningly gorgeous! We really should have gone to the flower gardens, but it was great where we walked and parked our arses for a bit.

Does anyone know if this is a Magnolia tree? My gawd, the scent from the flowers was beautiful!

And a flower from it...

A rhubarb patch in the middle of the park!

Then we went to the Oakridge Malls food court. The first place that caught my eye was Kernels. You like Dill Pickle popcorn, they have it! Hot 'n Spicy, they have it! 14 trillion flavors, they have it.

This next photo shows only a teeny weeny fraction of the people that were there. Well over 300 people slurping and noshing and talking. For such small town ladies ( Jamie and I ) the noise was seriously overwhelming. I couldn't wait to leave that mall.

Driving back to Kelly and Sumeets to drop them off I handed Kelly the camera and told him to snap some photos.

This is B.C. Place ...home to the B.C.Lions. ( our football team ) It will also be where the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2010 Olympic Winter games are held.

I was looking at the hordes of people walking and all the cars ( at least 23 trillion cars ) and said, where the hell do all these people live?? Jamie said, on top of each other. She's right...I cringe when I think that I used to be one of these bees. Look at the hives they live in!

Dropped Jamie back off at the Ferry and headed home. Fargo did a lot of sniffing

Hey lady, that's about enough with the photo taking!

Frank's not shy...take MY photo!!!

Telephone prank...hehehehe!! I wanna' do this!

Didn't do a whole helluva lot today. Usual stuff. Scooped poop, weeded, watered, tossed balls a million tosses, yada yada yada. Suppose to rain tomorrow, that's fine, we need it! I have lots of work to do indoors, never a dull moment dammit.

Smartest dog in the freakin' world!

Long time no see!

I have a bad habit. Called procrastination. What you can do tomorrow ( or weeks later in some case )don't do today!

What I have learned: Is that I don't have a cleaning lady. By rights, I should. Not sure why I "should", I just should. We all should....right?

My house is a disaster, but my garden is looking wonderful! Spent a LOT of time planting, weeding, more planting, watering, weeding, weeding, weeding. The only thing I need for it now is some Chamomile seeds and done! Whew!! Here's some photos from the past few weeks.

But first some photos of a few of the nutty but wonderful group of folks I work with.

Kalli and Kelsie...servers extraordinaire.

Look at the freakin' talent!!

Chrissy...she's not making a face...that's really her.

WTF are you doing Chrissy???

This is Richard. ( some folks call him DICKard ) He has this grumpy ass look on his face because I called him a "short order cook".....He fancies himself a chef. Whatever DICKard.

This is Linda. You know the saying "never trust a skinny cook"? She's a sweet lady.

And this is Angus. Sweet boy. Er, young man. Fun to work with, an all around great guy.

And now on to my garden!

Broccoli and Sunflowers

Chives and Lilies

Happy gardening dance!! A flower on a Sweet Million 'mater!

Corn, Celery, Eggplant and Squash

This is suppose to be a Petunia. Not like any I have seen!

Lilac bush on the side yard

Camus Lily

Dogwood tree

Robins, they love the yard with all the trees and great places for insects to munch on.

Baby Robin! Awwwww!

Fuchsia

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Sunny and warm here...absolutely great!

See you tomorrow! ( really! )

Music *moves* me.

I especially love Classical.

The Master, Senor Pavarotti can almost bring me to tears. But he always, always, always brings me to joy.

What a masterful talent. Heaven sent.
